Has a problem been found?
 | ▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
 | ▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found?
| ▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
| ▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
Check the fuel pump fuse (15A).
IG "OFF" and disconnect Fuel Pump connector.
Check the power of fuel pump side by using a multimeter. Measure the power within 3 sec after IG "ON".(ENG "OFF")
Specification : Fuel pump operates for about 7-8 seconds in normal condition after IG "ON"(Approx. 0V →12V →0V)
IG "OFF" and disconnect Fuel Pump Relay.
Measure voltage between relay control terminal of PCM box harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx 2.5V
Is the measured Value within specification?
