If rail pressure exceeds threshold value by 200 bar or is higher than maximum pressure(1999bar) while rail pressure is controlled by FPCV, ECM sets DTC P118500. This fault might be caused by too much fuel supply to common rail or faulty fuel return line of common rail or faulty RPS.
