Component Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF".

2.

Disconnect the "INPUT SPEED SENSOR2" connector.

3.

Measure resistance between terminal "1","3" of the "INPUT SPEED SENSOR2" connector.

Specification :20~30 MΩ

[1. Signal, 2. -, 3. Power]

4.

Is resistance within specifications?

▶ Go to "CHECK TCM " as below.

▶ Replace "INPUT SPEED SENSOR" as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Check TCM
1.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

2.

Disconnect the "INPUT SPEED SENSOR2" connector.

3.

Install scantool and slect a "Simulation".

4.

Simulate frequency to INPUT SPEED SENSOR2 signal circuit.

FIG1) 150Hz → 255rpm

FIG2) 250Hz →425rpm

note

The values are subject to change according to vehicle model or conditions.

5.

Is "INPUT SPEED SENSOR2" signal value changed according to simulation frequency?

▶ Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Substitute with a known-good TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace TCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
