Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Power circuit inspection" procedure.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

Disconnect the "Clutch Motor1" connector.

Measure voltage between "Hall Sensor Power" terminal of the Clutch Motor1 harness connector and chassis ground .

Is voltage within specifications?

	▶ Go to "Signal circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Check for open or short in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure. If signal circuit in harness is OK, Go to "Check TCM" of the "Component Inspection" procedure.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

Disconnect the "Clutch Motor1" connector.

Measure voltage between "2", "3", "4" terminal of the Clutch Motor1 harness connector and chassis ground.

Is voltage within specifications?

	▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Check for open in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure. If ground circuit in harness is OK, Go to "Check TCM" of the "Component Inspection" procedure.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

Disconnect the "Clutch Motor1" connector.

Measure voltage between "Hall Sensor Ground" terminal of the Clutch Motor1 harness connector and chassis ground.

Is voltage within specifications?

	▶ Substitute with a known-good "Clutch Motor1" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "Clutch Motor1" as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Check for open/short in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
