Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
1.

IG "OFF" and disconnect A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor connector.

2.

IG "ON".

3.

Measure voltage between Pin No.3 (Power) terminal of A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx 5V

4.

Is the measured Value within specification?

▶ Go to "Siganl Cirtuit Inaspection" procedure.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.

Signal Cirtuit Inaspection
1.

IG "OFF" and disconnect A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor connector.

2.

IG "ON".

3.

Measure voltage between Pin No.2(Signal) terminal of A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 0V

4.

IG "OFF" & Disconnect PCM connector.

5.

Measure resistance between Pin No.2(Signal) terminal of A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification :

6.

Measure resistance between Pin No.2 (Signal) terminal and Pin No.1(Ground) terminal of the A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor.

Specification :

7.

Is the measured Value within specification?

▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.

Ground Circuit Inspection
1.

IG "OFF" & Disconnect A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor connector.

2.

IG "ON".

3.

Measure voltage between Pin No.3 (Power) terminal of A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.(A)

4.

Measure voltage between Pin No.3 (Power) terminal and Pin No.1(Ground) terminal of the A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor.(B)

Specification : "A" - "B" = Below 200mV (A and B : Approx. 5V)

5.

Is the measured Value within specification?

▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.
