Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection(TCU)" procedure.

Ignition "OFF".

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect TCU connector.

Ignition "ON".

Measure voltage between Pin No. 45 (Power) terminal of TCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Measure voltage between Pin No. 60 (Power) terminal of TCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short in power circuit between TCU and Battery and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition "OFF".

Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect TCU connector.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 1,2,4 (Ground) terminal of TCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection(Solenoid Power)" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short in power circuit between TCU and Chassis ground and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition "OFF".

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect ATM Solenoid connector.

Ignition "ON".

Measure voltage between Pin No. 10 (Solenoid Power2) terminal of ATM Solenoid harness conenctor and chassis ground.

Measure voltage between Pin No. 5 (Solenoid Power1) terminal of ATM Solenoid harness connector and chassis ground.

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short in solenoid power circuit of ATM Solenoid and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
