Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found?

Ignition "OFF".
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect ATM Solenoid connector.
Ignition "ON".
Measure voltage between Pin No. 14 (Power) terminal of ATM Solenoid harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 8.95 V
Is measured value within specification?

![]() | ▶ Repair open or short in power circuit between ATM Solenoid and PCM and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
Ignition "OFF".
Refer to "Shop Manual" and remove necessary parts to get access to ATM Solenoid connector and lift vehicle with suitable lift.
Engine "ON".
Back probe and measure signal waveform between Pin No. 8 (Signal) terminal of ATM Solenoid harness connector and chassis ground.
