Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect Inhibitor Switch connector.

3.

Ignition "ON"

4.

Measure voltage between Pin No. 7 (Power) terminal of inhibitor switch harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : B+

5.

Is measured value within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair open or short in power circuit between Inhibitor Switch and Battery and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
