Removal
note

Do not separate the controller (A) and the sensor (B) because they are integral.

1.

Trun the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery (-) terminal.

2.

Lift the vehicle.

3.

Remove the under cover (A).

4.

Disconnect the PM sensor connector (A), and then remove the mounting bolts.

5.

Remove the PM sensor (B).

Installation
note

Install the sensor to the specified torque.

If the sensor is dropped by mistake, check if there is no problem.

Do not use a cleaner, spray or grease on the sensing element and connector because they could cause a malfunction of sensor.

The sensor or the wiring can be damaged by being contacted to the exhaust system (Exhaust manifold, Catalytic converter etc.)

Installation is reverse of removal.

PM sensor [Sensor and heating] :

49.0 ~ 58.8 N.m (5.0 ~ 6.0 kgf.m, 36.1 ~ 43.4 lb-ft)

PM Sener [Controler] mounting bolt/ nut :

9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
