Installed in the turbocharger, the Electric VGT Control Actuator operates the vane in the Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) to regulate the amount of compressed air by the ECM's PWM signal. This valve consists of a DC motor that actuates the vane, 1 2-step gear that increases the torque of the DC motor, a position sensor that detects the status of the vane, an electric control unit that drives the DC motor, and a reset spring that resets the deenergized vane to its open position.
