The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system combines exhaust gas to intake air to eliminate excessive air and temperature from the combustion chamber.

The Electric EGR valve consists of solenoid valve and position sensor, which detects the position of electric EGR valve.

The Electric EGR valve is controlled by ECM’s duty control signal depending on engine load and the need of intake air and is operated by solenoid valve not vacuum valve.
