Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the connector brackets around the intake manifold.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake And Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")
Remove the battery.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
Remove the Engine Control Module (ECM).
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "Engine Control Module (ECM)")
Remove the battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")
Loosen the drain plug, and drain the engine coolant. remove the radiator cap to drain with speed.
(Refer to Cooling system - "Coolant")
Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the connector brackets around the intake manifold.
Remove the throttle body hoses.
throttle body coolant hoses (A).
PCV hose (B).
brake booster vacuum hose (C).
PCSV (Purge Control Solenoid Valve) hose (D).
Remove the throttle body (A).
Tightening torque :
9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
Remove the oil level gauge (A) and the intake manifold (B).
Tightening torque :
18.6 ~ 23.5 N.m (1.9 ~ 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 ~ 17.4 lb-ft)
When installing, replace with new gaskets.
When installing the intake manifold, tighten the bolts and nuts with pre-torque first, and then tighten the bolts and nuts with specified torque in the sequence shown.
Installation is reverse order of removal.
