Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the wiring protector around the intake manifold.

Remove the engine cover.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Remove the air duct and the air cleaner assembly.
Remove the oil level gauge & pipe.
(Refer to Lubrication System - “Oil Level Gauge & Pipe”)
Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the wiring protector around the intake manifold.

Remove the air control valve.
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - “Air Control Valve (ACV)”)
Disconnect the fuel return hose (A) and high pressure pipe (B).
Remove the EGR cooler outlet pipe (A).
Tightening torque:
19.6 ~ 23.5 N.m (2.0 ~ 2.4 kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 17.4 lb-ft)
Remove the VGT control solenoid valve bracket (A).
Tightening torque:
6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)
Disconnect the fuel tubes (A).
Remove the fuel temperature sensor bracket (A).
Tightening torque:
6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)
Remove the intake manifold fixing bolt (A).
Tightening torque:
6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)
Remove the intake manifold (A) with the gasket (B).
Tightening torque:
19.6 ~ 23.5 N.m (2.0 ~ 2.4 kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 17.4 lb-ft)
When installing, replace with new gasket.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
