Remove the engine cover.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Disconnect the turbo charger actuator vacuum hose.
(Refer to Intake And Exhaust System – “Exhaust Manifold”)
Disconnect the engine wiring harness connectors and remove the wiring harness protectors.

Air control valve connector
Injector connectors
Cam position sensor (CMPS) connector
Electric EGR control valve connector
Exhaust gas temperature sensor (#1, #2) connectors
Difference pressure sensor connector
Lambda sensor connector
Rail pressure sensor connector
Glow plug connector (A)
Alternator connector (A) and the cable (B)
Tightening torque
Cable (B):
9.8 ~ 14.7N.m (1.0 ~ 1.5kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 10.8lb-ft)
Remove the high pressure pipes (A) and the fuel return hose (B).

(U-II 1.6L : Refer to Fuel System – “Common Rail”)
Remove the injectors (C).
(U-II 1.4L : Refer to Fuel System - "Injector")
(U-II 1.4L : Refer to Fuel System - "Injector")
Remove the vacuum hoses and pipes (D).
Remove the cylinder head cover (A).
