Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Squib Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Ignition switch "OFF".

2.

Disconnect (-) terminal cable from battery and wait for 1 minutes or more.

3.

Remove the PSAB connector and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to the PASB connector.

caution

If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a known-good PASB or 2Ω resistor.

4.

Connect (-) terminal cable to battery and Ignition switch "ON" & Engine "OFF" and wait for 30 seconds or more.

5.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC) and clear DTC with GDS and diagnose again.

6.

Is any DTC present?

	▶ Go to "Main Circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the PSAB and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition switch "OFF".

2.

Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery and wait at least one minutes.

3.

Disconnect PSAB and SRSCM connector.

4.

Measure resistance between terminal pin No.2(Low) of PSAB harness connector and pin No.15(Low) of SRSCM(Airbag ECU) harness connector.

5.

Measure resistance between terminal pin No.1(High) of PSAB harness connector and pin No.14(High) of SRSCM(Airbag ECU) harness connector.

Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω

Are the measured value within specification?

	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the SRSCM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. caution Please be careful handling the SRSCM. The seat belt pre-tensioner, curtain airbag and side airbag can be operated when the SRSCM has an impact and rotation when ignition switch is "ON". It may be caused serious risk.
	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the SRSCM main circuit and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
