Monitor DTC Status
1.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

2.

IG "ON"

3.

Perform applicable troubleshooting guide procedure when other than DTC C1662 is stored.

4.

In case only DTC C1662 is stored, clear DTC with GDS and drive vehicle for certain amount of time.

Reference)Auto Learning

- ID of TPMS Sensor is stored in ECU

- After Approx. 19 minutes of standby, Auto-Learning is performed within 1 minute.

5.

Perform "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.

Fig.1) Diagnostic Trouble Code(DTC) is shown above

6.

Is the same DTC occurred again?

▶ Go to "Monitor GDS Data" procedure.

▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Monitor GDS Data
1.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

2.

IG "ON"

3.

Monitor "Sensor AL Condition" parameter on "Current Data" with GDS.

Fig.1~4) Sensor 1~4 Normal

4.

Is parameter within specifications?

▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the TPMS module’s connector or was repaired and TPMS module memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Check for correct TPMS Sensor ID.

▶ In case sensor pressure is abnormal, compare tire pressure from pressure gauge and pressure information from Current Data with GDS.

▶ Substitute with known-good TPMS Sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace TPMS Sensor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Perfrom "Register Sensor" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS TPMS(Exciter) or drive vehicle with over 15 mi/h(25 km/h) for 10 minutes to complete auto-learning and auto-location, after TPMS Sensor is replaced.
