Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found?

Ignition "OFF"
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect SJB(Smart Junction Box) connector.
Ignition "ON"
4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 43 (Power) terminal of SJB harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : B+
Is measured value within specification?

![]() | ▶ Repair open or short in power circuit between SJB(Smart Junction Box) and Battery and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect SJB(Smart Junction Box) connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 14 (Ground) terminal of SJB harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω
Is measured value within specification?

![]() | ▶ Repair open or short in ground circuit of SJB(Smart Junction Box) and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect BCM and SJB(Smart Junction Box) connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (B-CAN High) terminal of BCM harness connector and Pin No. 12 (B-CAN High) terminal of SJB harness connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (B-CAN Low) terminal of BCM harness connector and Pin No. 24 (B-CAN Low) terminal of SJB harness connector.
Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω
Is measured value within specification?
