The main features of CAN (Controller Area Network) bus system are:

- A data-Transfer rate up to 1 Mbit/s for the High-Speed CAN and up to 125 kbit/s for the Low-Speed CAN.

- Signals are broadcast in both directions

- The Multi-master principle.

- High availability by locating failed control units.

- Standardization in accordance with ISO 11898.

The BCM communicates via B-CAN Communication Line with SJB(Smart Junction Box), Audio, Video & Navigation Unit (Head Unit), and SMK(Smart Key) Unit.
