IG "OFF"

Select "Oscilloscope" in the menu.

Connect Channel A positive probe to Pin No.2 (signal) and Channel A negative probe to Pin No.1 (ground) on the CKPS connector.

Connect Channel B to Pin No.2 (signal) terminal of CMPS-IN harness connector and chassis ground.

Engine start. and check the signal waveforms.

A: CKPS & CMPS(Intake side) syncronization - There are about 26~27 teeth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.

Does the CKPS & CMPS(Intake side) synchronize properly? (check variation)

	▶ Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage. So, check poor connections and the related circuit between ECM/PCM and component thoroughly. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the CKPS.
