Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "ETC motor(+) Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.

ETC motor(+) Control Circuit Inspection
1.

IG "OFF" and disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector.

2.

IG "ON"

3.

Measure voltage between ETC motor (+) control terminal of of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx 12V

4.

Is the measured voltage within specification?

▶ Go to "ETC motor(-) Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.

ETC motor(-) Control Circuit Inspection
1.

IG "OFF" and disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector.

2.

Disconnect ECM/PCM connector.

3.

Measure resistance between ETC motor (-) terminal of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and ETC motor (-) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.

Specification : Below 2Ω

4.

Is the measured Value within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.
