Ignition switch "OFF"

Refer to "Shop Manual"and remove the boost pressure sensor.

Check corrosion and contamination on the the boost pressure sensor terminal.

Check proper installation, leakage of o-ring and excessive carbon on sensor area.

Have any problem been found?

	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the boost pressure sensor and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Output Voltage of Boost Pressure Sensor" procedure.

Ignition Switch "OFF"

Connect VMI to GDS and select oscilloscope.(2 Channel)

Channel A (+) : Pin No. 1(Signal) connector (On Boost Pressure Sensor Connector)

Channel A (-) : Ground

Ignition switch "ON" & engine "OFF"

Inspection condition : Ignition switch "ON"

Is the measured voltage within specification?

	▶ Go to "Barometric Sensor Inspection" procedure.
	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the boost pressure sensor and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition switch "OFF"

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

Ignition switch "ON" & engine "OFF"

Check "Boost Pressure Sensor" of "Current Data" with GDS.

※ The barometric pressure sensor judges that seat level is 1 atm. It check weather measured pressure is 1 atm or not on normal condition.

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or ECM’s connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the ECM/PCM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
