■ Camshaft and crankshaft alignment check((Exhaust)
1.

IG "OFF".

2.

Select "Oscilloscope" in the menu.

3.

Connect Channel A positive probe to Pin No.2 (Signal B) and Channel A negative probe to Pin No.1 (Signal A) on the CKPS connector.

4.

Connect Channel B to Pin No.2(Signal) terminal of CMPS-EX harness connector and chassis ground.

5.

Engine start. And check the signal waveforms.

Specification : CKPS & CMPS(Exhaust side) synchronization - There are about 16~17 teeth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.

6.

Does the CKPS & CMPS((Exhaust side) synchronize properly? (Check variation)

▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

▶ If problem still occurs, replace CMPS-EX and then go to "Verification of Vechicle Repair" procedure.
