Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Ignition "OFF"

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Cluster Ionizer connector.

Ignition "ON"

Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (Power) terminal of cluster ionizer harness conenctor and chassis ground.

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short in power circuit of Cluster Ionizer and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition "OFF"

Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Cluster Ionizer connector.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Ground) terminal of cluster ionizer harness connector and chassis ground.

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short in ground circuit between Cluster Ionizer and A/C Control Module harness connector and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition "ON"

Back probe and measure voltage between Pin No. 5 (Diagnosis) terminal of cluster ionizer harness conenctor and chassis ground.

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps. ▶ If problem still occurs, replace Cluster Ionizer and then go to "Verification of Vechicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short in diagnosis circuit between Cluster Ionizer and A/C Control Module harness connector and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
