Removal and Installation
Air Cleaner
1.

Remove the engine cover.

2.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

3.

Remove the air duct (A).

4.

Disconnect the mass air flow sensor (MAFS) connector & intake air temperature sensor (IATS) connector (A).

5.

Disconnect the breather hose (B).

6.

Remove the intake hose (C) and air cleaner assembly (D).

Tightening torque

Hose clamp :

2.9 ~ 4.9 N.m (0.3 ~ 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 ~ 3.6 lb-ft)

Air cleaner bolts :

7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

note

Align the marks of the air intake hose and compressor.

7.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Resonator
1.

Remove the air cleaner assembly.

2.

Remove the front bumper cover.

(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - “Front Bumper Cover”)

3.

Remove the resonator (A).

Tightening torque:

7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

4.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Air Cleaner Element Replacement
1.

Open the service cover (A) by unhooking the clamps.

2.

Replace the air cleaner element (A) with a new one.

note

If there are foreign substances inside the air cleaner assembly, wipe the inside of the air cleaner assembly and then replace the air cleaner element.

3.

Close the service cover by hooking the clamps.
