This system controls the high beam, depending on the existence of the vehicle ahead/oncoming vehicle. The control phase is composed of "HBA ready (entering the ready state as the ignition is turned on) à HBA ON (when the head lamp auto or high beam is selected) à vehicle ahead/oncoming vehicle (when various vehicle conditions are met) à high beam ON/OFF".
