Disconnect the ECM connector (A).
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Remove the air cleaner.

Disconnect the ECM connector (A).
Disconnect the fuel inlet tube quick-connector (A) and fuel outlet tube quick-connector (B).
Disconnect the water sensor connector (A) and fuel heater connector (B).
Remove the fuel filter assembly after loosening the bracket mounting nuts (C).
Remove the fuel filter assembly (A).
Be careful not fuel flow in ECM pin.
Remove the water sensor (A).
Remove the fuel filter assembly after loosening the fuel filter bracket mounting bolts (B).
Replace it with a new one, and then install the fuel filter assembly in accordance with reverse of above steps.

If fuel filter is fixed to the filter body, remove the procedure as follows.
1) Remove the fuel filter assembly.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - " fuel filter")
2) Remove the water sensor (A).
3)Remove the fuel filter assembly after loosening the fuel filter bracket mounting bolts (B).
4) Remove the fuel filter used for filter wrench (B) the after fixing the fuel filter assembly (A).
When replacing the fuel filter, must replace the O-ring.
Bleed air in low pressure fuel circuit
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "Bleeding air in low pressure fuel circuit" )
After starting the engine, check the fuel line leakage.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Remove the fuel pump. (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "Fuel Pump")
Disconnect the electric motor pump connector (A) and the fuel sender connector (B).
Remove the head assembly (D) after remove the fixing clip (C) of the cushion pipe.
Remove the return nozzle (B) after releasing the hook (A).
Remove the reserver-cup (B) after releasing the hook (A).
Remove the pre-filter (C) after releasing the hook (A, B).
Remove the electric motor pump motor (A) from the fuel filter (B) by pulling it in down direction.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Release the residual pressure in the fuel line.
Disconnect the fuel filter quick-connector (A).
Remove the fuel filter bracket mounting nut (B).
Remove the fuel filter (A) from the fuel filter bracket.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
