Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.

Is DTC status displayed as Present?

	▶ Go to "Monitor GDS Data" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Ignition switch "OFF", connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

Ignition switch "ON" & engine "OFF", select "Current Data" mode.

3.

Monitor "All Airbag Resistance" parameter on the GDS.

Specification : 1.0Ω＜All Airbag Resistance(1st stage)＜ 7.2Ω

Reference : Airbag Circuit Open : FAIL

Airbag Power Circuit short : FAIL

Airbag Ground Circuit short : FAIL

Is parameter displayed within specifications?

▶ Malfunctions on the SRSCM are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals.

▶ Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

caution

Please be careful handling the SRSCM. The seat belt pre-tensioner, curtain airbag and side airbag can be operated when the SRSCM has an impact and rotation when ignition switch is "ON". It may be caused serious risk.

▶ Check for short between ignition circuits of DAB, PAB, BPT, CAB, SAB, KAB and APT. This fault is caused by ignition circuit short. If components are OK, replace the harness and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
