Ignition Switch "OFF"

Disconnect battery (-) cable.

3.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and remove the glow plug relay.

4.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 86 and Pin No. 85 of the glow plug relay.

Specification : Approx. 55 Ω

5.

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Actuation Test of glow plug realy" procedure.
	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the glow plug relay and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG "OFF"

7.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

8.

IG "ON"

9.

Perform "Glow Relay" of "Actuation Test".

10.

Check "Current Data" of "Glow Control Actuator Relay Output".

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or ECM’s connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the glow plug relay and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
