Ignition "ON".

Back probe and measure voltage between Pin No. 1 (Power) terminal and Pin No. 2 (Ground) terminal of brake lamp switch.

3.

Operate brake pedal.

Specification : On Brake pedal not pressed : Approx. 12V / On Brake pedal pressed : Approx. 0V

4.

Is the measured value within specifications ?

▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

▶ If problem still occurs, replace HECU and then go to "Verification of Vechicle Repair" procedure.

caution

In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.

1. "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction

2. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for longitudinal sensor offset correction.

3. "Auto Detected Configuration Reset(ESP(ESC) Only)

▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

▶ If problem still occurs, replace Brake Lamp Switch and then go to "Verification of Vechicle Repair" procedure.
