The main features of CAN (Controller Area Network) bus system are:

- A data-Transfer rate up to 1 Mbit/s for the High-Speed CAN and up to 125 kbit/s for the Low-Speed CAN.

- Signals are broadcast in both directions

- The Multi-master principle.

- High availability by locating failed control units.

- Standardization in accordance with ISO 11898.

The BCM communicates via C-CAN(High Speed CAN) Communication Line and receives or transmits data with Smart key control moduel (SMK), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Moduel (HECU), A/C Control Module, Motor Driven Power Steering System (MDPS) Unit, Instrument Panel Cluster and others.
