Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON".

Is DTC status displayed as Present?
 | ▶ Go to "Monitor GDS Data" procedure. |
 | ▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON".
Turn the steering wheel to the left or right.
Monitor Torque sensor related parameter on the "Current Data" with GDS.
Specification : Refer the specifications in Fig.1)
Fig.1) Turn steering wheel to C.C.W or C.W upon ignition "ON & Engine "ON"
Is parameter within specifications?
| ▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or EPS ECU connector or was repaired and EPS ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
| ▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps. ▶ If problem still occurs, replace EPS assembly and then go to "Verification of Vechicle Repair" procedure "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
