The ECM/PCM compares the accelerator pedal position information from APS1 and APS2 signals.
This DTC sets when the APS inputs APS1 and APS disagree on the position of the accelerator pedal by greater than an expected value.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause |
DTC Strategy |
•
Plausibility check between PVS_1 and PVS_2 | 1. Poor connection 2. Open or short in APS circuit 3. Faulty APS 4. Faulty ECM/PCM |
Enable Conditions |
•
Pedal Sensor1 voltage > 1.0V or Pedal Sensor2 voltage > 0.55V
Threshold Value |
•
ABS [ V_PVS_1 - (V_PVS_2 * 2 + 0.005 V)]...depending on Pedal Sensor voltage > 0.3..0.82V
Diagnostic Time |
•
0.35 sec | |
MIL On Condition |
•
