Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Has a problem been found?

Ignition Switch "OFF"
Disconnect battery (-) cable.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect the EOTS connector.
Measure resistance of Pin No. 3(Ground) of the EOTS connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. below 1Ω
Ignition switch "OFF"
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect the EOTS connector.
Ignition switch "ON"
Measure voltage of Pin No. 2(Power) of the EOTS connector and chassis ground.(A)
Measure voltage between Pin No. 2(Power) and Pin No. 1(Ground) of the EOTS connector.(B)
Specification : Difference (A) and (B) is less then 200 mV
Is the measured value withing specification?

Ignition switch "OFF"
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect the EOTS connector.
Ignition Switch "ON"
Measure voltage of Pin No. 1(Signal) of the EOTS connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 5V
Is the measured value withing specification?
