Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Ground Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition Switch "OFF"

2.

Disconnect battery (-) cable.

3.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect the CKPS connector.

4.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 1(Ground) of the CKPS and chassis ground.

Specification : Below Approx. 1Ω

5.

Is the measured value withing specification?

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Signal Circuit Inspection
■ Check CKPS signal circuit(A/T)
1.

Ignition Switch "OFF"

2.
