Component Inspection
1.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and remove necessary parts to allow access to control units that connected to C-CAN network.

2.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

3.

Ignition "ON"

4.

Disconnect unit connector one at a time.

5.

Check for control unit causing the fault by communicating with systems that connected to C-CAN network with GDS.

6.

Can the diagnostic tool able to communicate with selected systems when certain control unit is disconnected?

▶ If the diagnostic tool can able to communicate with system that connected to C-CAN network when certain control unit is disconnected and no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace control unit that disconnected from C-CAN network and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace ECM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
