Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

IG "OFF" and disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector.

IG "ON".

Measure voltage between Pin No.5 (Power) terminal of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured voltage within specification?

	▶ Go to "Signal circuit inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.

IG "OFF" and disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector.

IG "ON".

Measure voltage between Pin No.6 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground.

IG "OFF" & Disconnect PCM connector.

Measure resistance between Pin No.6 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured Value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.

IG "OFF" & Disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector.

IG "ON".

Measure voltage between Pin No.6 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground.(A)

Measure voltage between Pin No.6(TPS1 Signal) terminal and Pin No.4(TPS1 Ground) terminal of the ETC Motor & TPS.(B)

Is the measured voltage within specification?

	▶ Go to "Component inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.
