Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

IG "OFF" & Disconnect CMPS connector.
IG "ON".
Measure voltage between Pin No.1(Power) terminal of CMPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx 5V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?

IG "OFF" & Disconnect CMPS connector.
IG "ON".
Measure voltage between Pin No.2(Signal) terminal of CMPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx 4.8V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?

Measure voltage between Pin No.2 (signal) terminal of CMPS harness connector and chassis ground.(A)
Measure voltage between Pin No.2(Signal) terminal and Pin No.3(Ground) terminal of the CMPS.(B)
Specification : "A" - "B" = Below 200mV
Is the measured voltage within specification ?
