The PCM sets DTC P0266 when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the acceleration rate of the crankshaft for Cylinder 2 was less than a calibrated amount. During normal conditions the PCM turns the Fuel Injectors ON and OFF in the Fuel Injection System.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause |
DTC Strategy |
•
Air fuel ratio out of range. | 1. Dirty Fuel Injector 2 2. Faulty Fuel Injector 2 3. Plugged Fuel Injector 2 4. Fuel injector 2 harness is open or shorted 5. Fuel injector 2 circuit poor electrical connection |
