Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Control Circuit Inspection
1.

IG KEY "OFF".

2.

Disconnect FPR connector.

3.

IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".

4.

Measure voltage between Pin No.1 (Low Control), Pin No.2 (High Control) terminal of FPR harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification :

FPR Low Terminal : Approx. 0V

FPR High Terminal : Approx. 0.8V

5.

IG "OFF" & Disconnect PCM connector.

6.

Measure resistance between Pin No.1 (Low Control), Pin No.2 (High Control) terminal of FPR harness connector and B+

Specification :

7.

Is the measured Value within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedue.
