Inspection
[Coil Resistance Inspection]
1.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect the injector connector (A).

3.

Measure the resistance between the terminal 1 and the terminal 2.

4.

Check if the value is within the specification.

Specification : 0.35 ~ 0.43 Ω [20℃(68℉)]

[Compression Test]
5.

Turn the igntion switch OFF.

6.

Connect the GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

7.

Turn the ignition switch ON.

8.

Select "Vehicle, Model year, Engine, System".

9.

Select "Vehicle S/W Management".

10.

Select "Engine Test Function".

11.

Select "Compression Test".

12.

Perform the test as the message below.

caution

While cranking, the engine is not started.

caution

If a cylinder's engine speed is extremly higher or lower than the other cylinders, the cylinder's compression pressure is faulty.

13.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

14.

Connect the GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

15.

Turn the ignition switch ON.

16.

Select "Vehicle, Model year, Engine, System".

17.

Select "Vehicle S/W Management".

18.

Select "Engine Test Function".

19.

Select "Idle Speed Comparision".

20.

Perform the test as the message below.

caution

If the injection rate is too much or too less, the idle speed is extremely high or low.

21.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

22.

Connect the GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

23.

Turn the ignition switch ON.

24.

Select "Vehicle, Model year, Engine, System".

25.

Select "Vehicle S/W Management".

26.

Select "Engine Test Function".

27.

Select "Injection Quantity Comparison".

28.

Perform the test as the message below.

caution

After replacing the faulty injector, check the veicle by performing the tests below.

[Waveform Inspection]
1.

Turn the ignition switch ON.

2.

Connect the GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).

3.

Turn the ignition switch ON.

4.

Monitor the waveform of each injector.

5.

Analyze the waveform.
