General Description

SMK unit communicates with ECM/PCM through the serial communication line. If ECM requests authentication from SMK unit after IG ON, SMK unit check authentication with transponder then, sends this signal to ECM/PCM whether authentication is O.K or not.

DTC Description

This DTC code is to determine proper communication of ECM and SMK Unit when engine is started.The DTC is set If there is problem with data sent from ECM to SMK unit such as check sum error, Data Frame error, ID Unknown error, Data length error and Time out error
