Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the intake actuator connector.
Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting 12V to the terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4.
Verify that the intake actuator operates to the recirculation position when connecting in the reverse.

Connect the intake actuator connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Check the voltage between terminal 6 and 7.
Door position | Voltage (V) | Error detecting |
Fresh | 0.5 ± 0.15V | Low voltage : 0.1V or less |
Recirculation | 4.5 ± 0.15V | High voltage : 4.9V or more |
If the intake actuator is not operated well, substitute with a known-good intake actuator and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace the intake actuator.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the blower unit.
(Refer to HA group - "Blower Unit")
Remove the intake actuator (A) after loosening the mounting screws.
Installation is the reverse order of removal.
