 | ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
 | ▶ Go to "CAN Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found ?

| ▶ Go to "CAN Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect EPS ECU & ECU connector.
Measure resistance between CAN HIGH terminal of the EPS ECU harness connector and CAN HIGH terminal terminal of the ECM harness connector.
Measure resistance between CAN LOW terminal of the EPS ECU harness connector and CAN LOW terminal terminal of the ECM harness connector.
Specification : Approx. below 1Ω
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
| ▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure. |
| ▶ Check Open between EPS ECU & engine ECU harness. Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
