The TPMS is the acronym for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This system monitors the pressure of the tire and when it drops below a certain pressure, the TPMS ECU makes the warning lamp turn on for notifying the driver. This system consists of TPMS ECU(or TPMS Receiver), Initiators and TPMS sensors. The TPMS ECU monitors the battery voltage to determine, as a safety issue, whether this system can operate normally or not. The normal battery voltage range is essential for controlling this system as intended.
The TPMS ECU monitors the voltage of battery and if it stays below a certain value, this DTC is set.
