1.
Measure the voltage between coil power supply terminal of the fuel pump relay(RLY.2) and chassis ground at IG key "ON" after removing fuel pump relay.
■ Specification : B+
Measure the voltage between coil power supply terminal of the fuel pump relay(RLY.2) and chassis ground at IG key "ON" after removing fuel pump relay.
■ Specification : B+
Is measured voltage within specification?
 | ▶ Go to "Fuel pump relay control circuit inspection" procedure as below. |
 | ▶ Check for ECU(F38,30A), Injector(F34,15A) fuse blown or poor connection. ▶ Check for engine control relay. ▶ Check for relay coil ground from ECM. ▶ Check for E/R fuse & relay box. |
Connect probe of the LED volt circuit tester to fuel pump control terminal of the fuel pump relay.
☞ Connect red tongs of the LED volt circuit tester to battery (+).
Perform "Fuel pump relay actuation test".
Monitor LED tester lamp state.
■ Specification : LED tester lamp is "ON" when Fuel pump relay is operated by actuation test.
Is the LED volt circuit tester lit (When fuel pump relay is operated by actuation test) ?
| ▶ Substitute with a known-good relay and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, Replace the fuel pump relay. |
| ▶ Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. ▶ Check for open circuit between fuel pump relay control terminal of the E/R junction box RH and fuel pump relay control terminal of the ECM harness connector. ▶ Substitute with a known-good ECM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, Replace the ECM. |
