Measure the voltage between "Power" terminal of the fuel pump harness connector and chassis ground.
■ Specification : B+
Disconnect fuel pump connector and remove fuel pump relay.
Connect relay switch terminals directly by using jump wire to operate a fuel pump.
Measure the voltage between "Power" terminal of the fuel pump harness connector and chassis ground.
■ Specification : B+
Is voltage measured within the specification?
 | ▶ Go to "Fuel pump ground circuit inspection" procedure as below. |
 | ▶ Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. ▶ Check for fuel pump fuse 20A blown. ▶ Check for open circuit between power terminal of the fuel pump relay and fuel pump harness connector. ▶ Check for short to ground in the power circuit between power terminal of the fuel pump relay and fuel pump harness connector. |

Measure the voltage between "Power" and "ground" terminal of the fuel pump harness connector.
■ Specification : B+
Is voltage measured within the specification?
| ▶ Substitute with a known-good relay and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, Replace the fuel pump relay. |
| ▶ Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. ▶ Check for open circuit between ground terminal of the fuel pump harness connector and chassis ground. ▶ Check for chassis ground of the fuel pump. |
