Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminal condition. Faults can also becaused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical systems or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" Procedure.
	▶ Go to CAN communication Inspection procedure.

Install all the control unit (Module)

Ignition "ON"& Engine "OFF"

Measure signal waveform between C-CAN-HIGH connector of SPAS ECU and chassis ground.

Measure signal waveform between C-CAN-LOW connector of SPAS ECU and chassis ground.

Is the measured value within specifications?

▶ Check poor connection between harness connector and SPAS ECU

: Thoroughly check the looseness, poor connection, bent, corrison, contamination, deformation or damage of connector. Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Disconnect SPAS , PCM/ECM, TCM and Instrument Cluster one by one and then, check that DTC is erased with scantool.

▶ Substitute with a known-good module and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace module and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ If the measured value is battery voltage, check that it is short to battery in the circuit. Then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. And then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. In case that Communication is in sleep mode, 12V will be measured. Therefore, check that communication is in Wake up status.

▶ If 0V is detected, Check short to ground, short between CAN high and low each other or open in CAN high or CAN low harness. Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
