1. CVVL Sensor
CVVL (Continuously Variable Valve Lift) is a system that can change the valve lift continuously and it controls the amount of air flow by variable valve lifting. CVVL drives the valve lifts with optimization for engine RPM and improves fuel efficiency through reducing the pumping and friction loss. Also it can reduce the activation time of catalyst by improvement of response speed for acceleration.
PCM receives the angle value of CVVL position control shaft from CVVL position sensors.
ECU sets P1037 when ECU receives no message from one of the CVVL position sensor1 or 2.
