Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found?

Ignition "OFF".
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Accel Pedal Position Sensor connector.3. Ignition "ON"
Ignition "ON".
Measure voltage between Pin No. 4 (Power) terminal of Accel Pedal Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 5V
Is measured value within specification?

Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Accel Pedal Position Sensor and PCM connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 5 (Ground) terminal of Accel Pedal Position Sensor harness connector and Pin No. 56 (Ground) terminal of PCM harness connector.
Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω
Connect PCM connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 5 (Ground) terminal of Accel Pedal Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω
Is measured value within specification?
