Has a problem been found?
 | ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
 | ▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found?
| ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
| ▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Control to Injector harness connectors.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (High) terminal of Control to Injector harness connector and chassis ground.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 5 (High) terminal of Control to Injector harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Infinite (∞) Ω
Is measured value within specification?
| ▶ Go to next procedure. |
| ▶ Repair open or short in control(high) circuit between Injector and PCM and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Control to Injector harness connectors.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (Low) terminal of Control to Injector harness connector and chassis ground.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 6 (Low) terminal of Control to Injector harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Infinite (∞) Ω
Is measured value within specification?
| ▶ Go to next procedure. |
| ▶ Repair open or short in control(low) circuit between Injector and PCM and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Control to Injector harness connectors.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (High) terminal and Pin No. 2 (Low) terminal of Control to Injector harness connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 5 (High) terminal and Pin No. 6 (Low) terminal of Control to Injector harness connector.
Specification : Infinite (∞) Ω
Is measured value within specification?
| ▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure. |
| ▶ Repair short in control circuit, and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure. |
